Siemens has shown the press the first of their class 380s, that are being constructed for ScotRail, at their Krefeld works.

Comprising of 38 trains, a total of 130 vehicles, the class 380s will be delivered to the UK between September 2010 and March 2011.

The class will be based at Shields Road depot, near Glasgow. The bodyshells for the first 3 class 380s have already been completed at Krefeld works, which is currently very busy with orders from all over the globe.
