London TravelWatch, the watchdog for transport users in and around London, has welcomed today’s opening of the new ticket hall at King’s Cross St Pancras, after stressing its importance for many years.

Sharon Grant, Chair, London TravelWatch, who visited the new ticket hall prior to the official opening, said: “The brand-new, modern ticket hall will be a real boon to tube and train passengers at King’s Cross St Pancras. Not only will it enable the station to be fully accessible and reduce the time it takes to interchange, but with extra space and ticket machines, it will ease congestion and queuing times considerably.

“London TravelWatch has pressed for this over recent years, and we are delighted to see investment in a ticket hall for the 21st century, and will make travelling a pleasure for passengers changing between the International, mainline and tube stations.”
