Arriva has confirmed that discussions are at a preliminary exploratory stage with Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français (SNCF) regarding a possible contribution of all or part of Keolis’ transportation business to Arriva. 

This would create a leading transportation business focused on Europe’s transportation market, which is becoming increasingly liberalised.

Arriva state that, at this stage, there is no certainty that an agreement will be reached.
